Pancakes

  1. Combine milk with vinegar in a large bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to "sour".
  2. 1 ½ cups milk
    4 tablespoons white vinegar
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. 2 cups all-purpose flour
    ¼ cup sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    ¼ teaspoon salt
  5. Whisk egg, butter and vanilla into "soured" milk.
  6. 2 eggs
    ½ teaspoon vanilla
    Heat mixture of milk, eggs and vanilla in microwave for 30 seconds before adding the melted butter that you microwaved so that the hot butter doesn't curdle in the cold milk.
    4 tablespoons butter, melted
  7. Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and whisk until lumps are gone.
